Economic Development & An Affordable Vermont
As Vice-Chair of the Senate Committee on Economic Development, Alison is focused on working to grow our region’s economy, raise wages, and create Twenty-First Century jobs.
Energy and the environment
Alison cares deeply about preserving Vermont’s environment and our way of life. And, while Climate Change threatens our natural world and our economy, it also presents opportunities for growth in our Green Energy future.
HOUSING
Alison has been a leader in the ongoing efforts to address Vermont’s acute housing shortage and continue to reduce the barriers to housing development in our downtowns and village centers.
Reproductive Liberty
Alison believes that the ability to control your own body is one of the most basic and cherished freedoms a human can assert and has worked hard in support of Article 22, which will enshrine these rights in the state’s constitution.
Gun Safety
Alison has supported every piece of the Gun Safety Legislation passed in recent years – improving gun safety keeps our communities safer and prevents deadly domestic violence.
Working landscapes

Alison supports progressive health care reform to insure that every Vermont has access to high quality, affordable health care.
Opiates and substance abuse

RACIAL and Social JUSTICE
While Vermont has begun the important work of addressing deep-seated racial inequities in our society and economy, we now need to support this work with meaningful appropriations and resources. This work is never complete, but Alison is committed to supporting justice and equity for all Vermonters.
